Pakistan slams 'ignorant' Obama attack warning
ISLAMABAD (AFP) - Pakistan accused Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama of "sheer ignorance" for threatening to launch US military strikes against Al-Qaeda on Pakistani soil.
""Such statements are being made out of sheer ignorance," Pakistan's Minister of State for Information, Tariq Azeem, told AFP. "They are not fully apprised about the ground realities and not aware of the efforts by Pakistan.""

No. At this point in time racism will be eliminated when people are allowed to call stupid statements by inexperienced PEOPLE whatever race they are -stupid statements. Obama can talk tough- but he has gotta talk tough about the correct things. Sheesh.

Pakistan is part of the coalition of the UN and has had its military and security personnel killed in this war too (if you read the link)
We should be so lucky to have someone to speak that way to our media and political groups who are against this effort to fight terrorism beginning with Iraq because they are hell bent on twisting the facts about it.

Pakistan (on the surface of things ) is an ally and the President is trying so hard to help us but not get killed himself(how many attempts on his life??? . ..we just gotta pray they keep missing) The connection here is a very delicate one that has to be handled softly and tip-toed about (as is the Saudi one) Foreign Policy ain't for idealists but realists. Obama ain't ready for the nitty gritty!

I have no real 'Jones' for Geo. Washington, except that he:

it was only OK with the SLAVERS who profited by this mass cruelty inflicted on the victims.

apples and oranges-either we all are the same or we are not. Back then, in those times, slavery was there and practiced in almost every society, in ever country-by whoever- FACT I had "ok" in quotes because its a COMPLEX historical human interaction/condition and has been for 1,000s of years. I never said it was "OK".
The Native American who greated the Pilgrims was a SLAVE owned by a tribe that wasn't HIS tribe-this is fact Lee. And the first thing he said to the Pilgrims was "Welcome, got any beer?" ! And another time before that he was a slave for a time in Europe and guess who freed him? Monks!
And then he went back to America and BAM caught captured and inslaved again -owned by a tribe of Native Americans.
I am not trying to lesson any guilt, and BTW I HAVE NO GUILT and I do not know anyone who thinks slavery is or was ok or is GUILTY OF IT. It was a horrible practice. Who lives in the year 2007 in the USA that thinks its ok? BTW it was Christians who helped to eliminate it in this country!

I drank from 'Colored Only spigots in an upstairs section of a Birmangham movie theatre, whilst the 'whites' downstairs drank from modern drinking fountain machines.
WE were separate but paid equal prices..LOL.
We had to step off the sidewalk when the white people approached us in downtown Birmingham, AL.
Carloads of beered up white teenagers drove past us, my mom, sister, and cousins, (all just little kids shopping), and yelled insulting 'Niggah threatening comments at us as they drove by...
That ever happen to any of you white folks out there?
Emmett zTill was dragged out of his home, at the age of 13 or 14 and was brutally beaten, tortured, shot, castrated and thrown into a swamp...No one was convicted for nearly 50 years....
he would have been the same age as me if he had been allowed to live a normal life.....He was guilty of lisping, (speech impediment), at a white woman who wanted to piss off her disinterested husband who was a member of the KKK.
My father actually witnessed a few lynchings, (in secret), as a young lad in AR...
Any of this ever happen to any of tou white folks out there?

Lee, those are terrible things that have happened to you and your family. We can feel for you, and feel bad for you, and understand you when you speak to us about them. But none of us has anything to do with them! There's where you cross the line!
You have some sort of PTSD or something like that. Some people who suffer from a trauma cannot get to the end of the story in their head-which is all those things are over with and NOBODY right here right now thinks it was ok or that you or your family deserved it, and none of us are responsible nor did we have anything to do with those acts. Its not happening to you right now Lee. See a doctor! You've got nothing on SSG Rob either, or any of us "white folk" to make your sorrows superior -and even if they are, that doesn't fix your problem does it? If she hadn't seen it, called the police and yelled at them what would have happened to her female neighbor? I suppose this lady deserved it somehow? Does my mom hate all black men now? Do you really think so?

While driving all the kids to the beach I was thinking...sorry! smell wood burning? ...isn't it odd that a man claiming to be almost 20 yrs or more older then us-at least we weren't even born, nor even raised at that time nor hold any of the mind set of that era- would even want to engage in all this stuff over and over again like this with us?
I am around young people all the time, feel old too-and they are of all shapes and sizes, and none of this racist crap is even an issue. Dont get me wrong, they rag on each other have opinions on people-make fun-but its more on an individual level or its not at all. They all just look to the future and race doesn't have anything to do with who they really are and who they respect or not. They know what's wrong and what's right.

My freshman English prof was a wrinlked old cracker woman from Mississippi, I was the only black in her class in 1960 at Ohio U.
The first day or two of class, she attempted to show the class how she could crush my balls. But it didn't work.
(But I admit, I almost peed on myself, I was so scared).
But I didn't wimp out.
I have witnessed first hand a civil rights demonstrator being killed in Cleveland, Ohio. FYI.
I filed an EEOC complaint against my employer, I was all alone on this complaint. But I prevailed.(I wasn't trying to get any cash, just respect and to be treated fairly for job advancement).
I nearly threw up every day at that job the stress was so intense.
I was refused hotel accommodations in Cincinnati, (c.1965)
My kids have been subjected to racial harassment when at school when they were very young too.

Lee, in 1965 I was in kindergarden. In 1967, 2nd grade, my teacher Mr. Kennedy was a black man. I loved him. Imagine that! My mom read me his obituary not too long ago. He ended up marrying another teacher at the school, who I remember as well-can't remember her name, and the two of them caused a tizzy because she was a white lady (my mom and I were laughing at that-as in GOOD for them!) and he and she lived a long good life teaching children.
I cannot relate to your hatred of "people like me". It doesn't make sense, its rude, nasty and crazy and like I told you, all that matters is that young people today, including the ones in mine and SSG Rob's care think those days (that can not exist anymore, nor are they allowed to in any form under the laws of this land) were horrible and wrong. Your mindset and opinions on us here who are talking to you , who had nothing to do with "those days" you say you suffered is rude and false perception of REALITY. You are yapping at the wrong people!
We want to eliminate all forms of terror-and if you really did too, you'd be on our side or at least stop insulting us "young people" on how we think we should go about it.
