Liviu Librescu
The identity and stories of the victims of this senseless act at Virginia Tech are slowly coming to light. One in particular is Liviu Librescu. He was a 76 year old professor in the engineering department. Professor Librescu held the gunman off long enough to allow his students to escape only to then throw himself in front the gunman once he broke through.
Professor Librescu was a Holocaust survivor but will always be remembered as a hero in the eyes of this country.
