Over at Michelle Malkin's site is a round up about the kidnapping of Fox New reporter Steve Centanni and his camerman. Obviously, we all hope for their safe return.
Something in the round up caught my eye. (emphasis mine)
A Fox news report said the network did not know who had seized them but that "negotiations were under way to secure their release"...
The witness said two vehicles blocked the journalists' transmission truck in the center of Gaza City and a masked man put a gun to a bodyguard's head, forcing him to the ground.
Not that I don't think they should try to get their people back but for the number of times I have heard that we should never negotiate with terrorists from the talking heads on Fox, I'm not sure I understand their willingness to do so?
Just a thought...
Chris

Our government absolutely should not negotiate with terrorists. As for FOX News...I'd rather they went on a crusade to demand a new parking lot be installed in Gaza...but that's becoming my view of the entire middle east these days...

Government's shouldnt negotiate with terrorists, not private corporations. Corporations do it all the time in kidnappings... especially in Columbia where people are kidnapped all the time for ransom. Hell, there's a whole insurance industry out there just for that purpose.
You are holding FOX to the standard that you are holding our government.... FOX isnt fighting this war, our military is... or in this case, Israel is.
I noticed you never said anything about the fact that our government was negotiating when that ungrateful female journalist was kidnapped....

The mesage: conservatives aren't worth saving through negotiations.
I got that loud and clear...

I've heard Fox take everyone to task for negotiating with terrorists...the money paid to terrorists as ransom just goes to fund more terrorist attacks...seems as though anyone who pays ransom money is making our job harder not easier...this is a global war on terror folks--everyone is supposed to be fighting it-or at least that's what I understood the administrations position, as well as Fox New's position to be...and if it is wrong to negotiate with terrorists it is wrong across the board -for that woman or anyone else

Obviously Matt, TwoBabes would pay any price or bear any burden for your safe return...:O) conservatives aren't worth saving through negotiations? Did you really accuse me of that? Oh my God--too funny--come on, try again...I know you can do better than that...

Governments Chris.... governments. FOX is talking about governments... not private corporations.
DID YOU NOT READ WHAT I WROTE???

The government's policy is to not negotiate, not a private company. Out in the real world this happens all the time. My hubby, working for evil big oil, has been held hostage in foreign lands not once, but three times and you better believe the company responsible for his safe return negotiates. Real world, real actions.

I'd negotiate with a gun!

UNBELIEVABLE.!!!!!
