Michelle Malkin is back and wondering why no one is covering the story of the two kidnapped Fox Reporters. At the top of the list of reasons, of course, is the bias against Fox by the liberal media.
The most common suspicion among my readers is that bias against Fox News Channel is coming into play. Another possible factor may be Fox's own internal strategy of keeping the story low-key while it negotiates for Centanni and Wiig's release. Or is it because Centanni is not a high-profile player in the Washington media scene--not a spotlight-hogging insider or industry schmoozer?
I love how these situations turn into damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you don't cover it, you are biased against Fox and the life of their reporters aren't worth as much as reporter Jill Carol. If you do cover it and the whole thing goes bad, how long until you think the accusations that the liberal media killed Fox reporters with their careless coverage of a delicate situation and the life of a Fox reporter isn't worth as much as a story...blah blah blah...
In any case, it's been over a week since these guys were taken, someone should be doing something to get them home.
Chris

Oh...but Chris...remember... according to you, FOX shouldn't negotiate with terrorists.
Talk about being damned if the do and damned if they don't. Sheeze.

I know that Fox News had asked all media outlets not to discuss what was happening with this, which probably means that a) they are trying to work a deal, or b) they have people on the ground looking for their guys. Or both. CNN has talked about it a little, as have some of the Israeli outlets. Just have to wait and see what happens, I expect.

The bottomline is that there are to men with familys that were kidnapped. who really cares if they were from Fox or CNN or whatever. The focus should be on getting them home to their familys not which station is playing more are less of the story.

Michelle Malkin claiming that the kidnapping of the 2 Fox News reports is not being reported on competing news services is pure bull.
She should do some research before poisoning the air with her vitriol.
CNN, ABC, Yahoo News, and many other outlets have carefully covered this story.
She obviously doesn't understand the dangerous game she is playing with the lives of these hostages.
perhaps her need for ratings is more important to her than the safe return of these brave souls?

If she were a liberal that would be very true Lee. I have yet to see even one story in the MSM news. When did they carefully cover it? In the real as opposed to the liberal world I mean?
