You Gotta Love Ann Coulter...

It just never ceases to amaze me how the left MSM continues to push their agenda on people who don't follow their logic...or lack there of. Leave it to Ann Coulter to put Matt Lauer in his place and prove what an idiot he really is.
Here's just one example:
Lauer starts with:
"David Gregory said if you ask people what they care about they say Iraq and gas prices. Gay marriages are way down on the list, but that's what the president is talking about and what the Senate is taking up. Why?"
Coulter pops right back:
"I don't know what people are talking about or how David Gregory knows that. But I do know that gay marriage amendments have been put on the ballots in about 20 states now and passed by far larger numbers than Bush won the election by."
Oh OK....one more example....
Lauer throws out:
"Here's how E.J. Dionne puts it in the Washington Post: 'The Republican party thinks its base of social conservatives is a nest of dummies who have no memories and respond like bulls whenever red flags are waved in their faces.' Do you agree with that?
Coulter: "That the base are dummies or that Bush thinks that?"
Lauer: "That he can wave a red flag and they will run to the polls to respond to him?"
Coulter: "They don't need to respond to him. He's not running again."
Lauer: "They want the voters to turnout in the mid-term elections. They don't want to lose control of the congress."
Coulter: "Maybe they want to do what the voters want. Whatever you can say about whether or not Bush has a mandate, the mandate against gay marriage is pretty strong. It passed by like 85 percent in Mississippi. Even in Oregon, and that was the state that the groups supporting gay marriage fixated on and outspent their opponents by like 40:1, it passed even there. There is a mandate against gay marriage."
Lauer: "Do you think George Bush in his heart really cares strongly about that issue?"
Coulter: "I don't know what anybody cares in his heart."
Lauer: "Would you take a guess?"
Coulter: "I know what Americans think because they keep voting, over and over and over again overwhelmingly they reject gay marriage. So why is that a bad thing for politicians to respond to what is overwhelmingly a mandate?"
I may not agree with everything Ann has to say, but I love how she smacks around the media.

Please tell me that you are kidding. If you consider Ann's Interview a good moment for the right, then I may never understand the right.

HC.... I never said anything about he right..... I just love how she puts the liberal bias MSM in their place.
Posted by: Lisa | Wednesday, June 07, 2006 at 07:51 AM
I mean what bias? The worst President in the last 40 years has gotten a free ride by the Media. (Not just my opinion. A recent poll rank Bush as so.)
Clinton had more bad press in one year than Bush has gotten his whole Presidency. Liberal Media? What a myth by the Right.

In order to understand something hgobbelscboy you would have to have a brain. As your brain has atrophied to the point of being only useful for parroting Moveon.org talking points and incapable of thought you will never understand.

Oh Puhleeezzzeee HC. You cannot sit there and tell me with a straight face that Bush has gotten a free ride from the media. That just isnt true... Hell, when they can't get anything on him, they start making things up.

Ann is simply one of the most articulate conservatives in America today, and it's so much fun to see her quick wit when it comes to answering liberals like Lauer.
Posted by: Storms | Wednesday, June 07, 2006 at 10:07 AM
If all the Media was really liberal then it would sound like Air America. Give it a listen and learn what a real liberal bias is.

Commenting on 9/11 widows, Coulter said to Lauer: "I have never seen people enjoying their husband's death so much." And what was their crime? Asking for the 9/11 investigation.
No, I don't have to love her. This is not about smacking the media. This is virulent, debased hatred and cruelty used to promote her self. I would never respect anyone on the left who made fun of the widows of marines, or of anyone else whose husband lost his life in this war - whatever their position on a particular investigation. Luckily we don't have such on the left

From: http://www.tompaine.com/articles/2006/06/06/used_to_sell_a_mirage.php
-------------------------------
The overwhelming majority view in America in 1967—72 percent, according to a Gallup poll—was that interracial marriage is wrong. That was the year that the U.S. Supreme Court, in Loving v. Virginia , ruled that state laws preventing interracial marriage were unconstitutional. No one mentioned that by their standard, the Supreme Court in that case and in several others—including Brown v. Board of Education in 1954—should have bowed to majority opinion and kept segregation and miscegenation laws in place.

An attorney who has graduated with honors, worked in prestigious law firms and in the federal government, and become a best selling author, up against Matt?? Hello???

HC, I tried that once, and Air Amerika is unhinged, best word I could find for it. But the media does have an anti-republican, anti conservative slant. And they definitely try to craft and control public opinion, rather than simply reporting the news. What is that all about? Who told them they had that right?

I didn't see Ann pushing Matt around. I saw Matt getting Ann to run at the mouth and take a swipe at victims who lost their beloved husbands on 9/11. It wasn't Matt who ended up looking bad. Her true colors as a hateful person came shining through. She doesn't represent me, and no one should be proud to say she represents them. Its just not right to be that full of hate.

I do not think the MSM is Liberal or Conservative. They are corporate. They report what they think will sell. I believe that is why Clinton got more bad press than bush is getting. Sex sells and fascism does not.

I would have put it more politely than Ann but I agree with what she had to say about the Jersey girls. I got rather sick of seeing Kristen B on spitting Chris Matthews show every week and he was more than glad to let her go on and on about what Bush didn't do and what she and the 9/11 Committe should do-hell, she should have on it. This lady campaigned for Kerry, which is her right, but her affliation with getting Dems into office should have come up. I would have appreciated a thank you for my tax dollars making the Jersey girls millonaires and less democratic talking points.

Who here would trade their spouse for a million dollars?
Yet many think these Jersey Girls are Lucky Know It Alls who should just keep their mouths shut.
Well put me down that all should speak up and including Ann. In fact I love it when Ann speaks. Please keep on talking Ann. Please keeping on talking Ann. Ann should never shut up.

True to a degree HC, but they sure took advantage of it to push their particular agenda and bash the current administration, while forgetting that this is not a problem unique to them. Everyone from Carter on shares equally in this mess of our own making.
The 9/11 events made the sense of entitlement and expectation of compensation for victimhood way of thinking a way of life in this country. Why did any one of those people rate a penny of our money for their losses? HC, when your parent died, did anyone from the government send you a check?
The MSM tends to report negatively charged info because what pisses people off makes them watch more and read more. Blood sells as number one, and bad news is great for business. Me, I would rather have the whole story each time, but that is how us intel bubbas are.

I am not afraid of free speech, I trust that most Americans know Bull Crap when they hear it. So I want to hear more from Ann because her words are nothing more than Bull Crap.
The million dollars was offered as a bail out for the Airlines. To accept the Million you had to give up your right to sue the Airlines. A little forgotten fact.

If there was a winner in this interview, it certainly wasn't Ann. Matt Lauer asked her reasonable questions (based on her book); the real issue is that Ann did not have any good answers. And in fact on the question as to why Bush's popularity has declined, all she could muster was a whimpy "I don't know", followed by perhaps it was something to do with immigration. For somebody who fancies herself as the asute commentator on current affairs that she thinks she is, that was just simply inexcusable. But the real sad thing about Ann is that she has such a simplistic and naive black-and-white view of the world - you're either on the right or on the left. The reality is that everybody is more complex than this, but her polarizing polemic style doesn't allow for nuances like this. It's a shame, because she's an intelligent woman, but she needs to learn more about critical thinking before serious thinkers will take anytime out to consider what she is saying.

Ann Coulter has it.Shes brainy, beautiful and is not ashamed to tell it like it is. Its a whole different story when the lefties can go and slander and make lies against anyone who dos'nt think like a liberal. Liberals have a hate complex and are so bitter that they will destroy someones character by saying lies.LIES LIES LIES thats all the liberals know what to so. To fricken bad if all the lefties are upset over Ann Coulters new book. The truth hurts.Go get em Ann!!!
Posted by: kiki | Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 10:00 PM
Ann Coulter has no clue what she is saying, she is just saying it to sell books. And it works. It is amazing that people would think all Liberals are "godless". I would hope most conservatives are smarter than that.
