Ahhh...Those Were The Days...
The days of flower children and peace signs....oh...wait...I mean Mercedes symbols. What a bunch of idiots...You can't even depend on the young anti-Bush anti-war liberals out there today who are protesting to even be able to draw a friggin peace sign correctly.
Check this out, coutsesy of Michelle Malkin.

If you are going to protest, at least know how to display the message you are trying to send... Geeze.

I read the headlines this AM after returning from Garmisch and Paris yesterday (was on leave all last week). Headlines were mostly about the fizzle of this.
But keep it up. Keep the pressure on to keep on track to have the Iraq gub'ment become responsible for its on security. The sooner the better.

My favorite Mercedes is the C230 Sport. Love the rims and ground effects they put on it.
Maybe the slogan should now be 'No War For German Automakers'?
And will someone get that girl a copy of 'Chicken Soup for the Anti-War Protestor's Soul'? She looks like she needs some encouragement.

There are some out there who believe that the peace sign is an inverted broken cross, or has other occult meanings (ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_sign#Antagonism ). It's possible that these people are using the 'Mercedes' sign because their Christian faith makes them reluctant to use the real one.

Here is another example of its use, in the hilarious "Liberality for All" comic. Bottom right panel:

I guess the conservative writers couldn't bear to break the cross, even for their art.
BTW, I recommend this comic to everyone, conservatives and liberals alike. I initially thought was an amusing -- though rather heavy-handed -- satire. Turns out it's serious, and it actually is written by conservatives, which makes it even better. I love a good self-parody.

Plus, if you use the four stick symbol, CNS comes after you for licensing monies. Peace at any price? No thank you!

You know how they say "You can never go home again" ? Well, you can never go back to the sixties again. If you weren't there, you just don'tknow it. okay, man?

Wow! Hippie reenactors.
Do draft dodgers and war protesters have reunions? If so, what do they talk about?
