I wonder if they would use a picture of a maimed Bob Woodruff to illustrate a cartoon about the media's problems.

I listen to the troops at "Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America is the nation's first and largest group dedicated to the Troops and Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the civilian supporters of those Troops and Veterans." and I dare you righties to read their blog: http://www.iava.org/index.php

I read it. 10% are always around.
and hGoebbelscboy, I dare you to stand in front of some of the soldiers I serve and my son and spout your leftist, scum-sucking, defeatist crap. but since you are a coward I am doubtful you would do so.

Jestie
I have argued with people who had serve that believe in this war and I found that they can make an intelligent argument without being a bully or calling me a leftist, scum-sucking, defeatist.
You know what they tell me I disagree with you, but I served to protect your civil rights. Then we have a beer together. Kind of sounds like the America I believe in.
But what would you know about America since you choose to live in Europe with their Social State Benefits that are denied to American Citizens who choose to live on American soil. And you call me a leftist, scum-sucking, defeatist. Maybe you are nothing more than a hypocrite who likes to bully people.

"make light of their tremendous physical sacrifices"?! Bollocks! It is blindingly obvious that the cartoonist is not making light of the soldiers physical injuries. One need not have a PhD in interpreting abstract art to see he is doing the exact opposite. Unless I assume that the Joint Chiefs are morons who lack even the most basic interpretative skills, I can only conclude that they're being intentionally obtuse. They know full well what the cartoon means. Call their bluff.
