Welcome

  • Welcome to Two Babes and a Brain. No, you didn’t read it wrong. We are called Two Babes and a Brain. Yes TWO WOMEN ONE BRAIN. And yes, before you ask, we are ready to take all the comments and jokes that come with that. Allow us to explain. Children fry your brain cells. They suck the intelligence right out of you. They cause you to stare blankly at objects wondering how to use them to do bodily harm—usually you imagine doing bodily harm to yourself because if you do bodily harm to your children, DCYF will have to get involved and that just takes up time you don’t have because---you have children. The two women who run this blog have six children between them. Therefore, they are short on brain power. After some serious mathematical calculations they have come to the conclusion that together they have a total of ONE brain. They feel lucky to have this. Now, on to the Babe issue. To be a Babe, you don’t have to look like Carmen Electra or Katherine Zata Jones. It’s a state of mind. It’s being comfortable in your own skin. A Babe has her own opinions about issues, whether you are talking about politics, sports, education or even the War on Terror. Chris and Lisa definitely have their opinions about almost everything. That’s one reason they created Two Babes and a Brain. And when their opinions are on opposite sides, look out. Katy, bar the door and batten down the hatches cause sh#t’s gonna hit the fan. Chris and Lisa extend an invitation to you to post your comments, questions and yes, even dissenting opinions. But be warned, they love nothing better than a good juicy debate.

A Teddy Tantrum...

Yesterday, I nearly fell over laughing at this....

Kennedynuts

Also, check out the Mud Ring for another commentary on Teddy's antics...

I thought the man was going to have an aneurysm....

Here is the transcript of what happened when Kennedy didn't get his way...

KENNEDY: …All you have to do, Mr. President, is look back into the history. Look back into the history of the judiciary. Look back to the history of the 5th Circuit, that were (sic) making the decisions in the 1950s. Look at the record of Judge Wisdom. Judge Tuttle. Judge Johnson of Alabama. The courage that they demonstrated that said that at last we are going to break down the walls of discrimination in this country, that have gripped this nation for 200 years. Our founding fathers failed the test when they wrote slavery into the Constitution! (He’s screaming.)

KENNEDY: The march towards knocking down the walls of discrimination that permitted us to pass a 1964 civil right act in public accommodations so people whose skin was not white could go into restaurants and go into hotels. Public accommodation. The 1965 act for voting rights. 1968 Act for public accommodations. The 1973 act to say that women are going to be treated equally. The americans with disabilities act that said the disabled are going to be part of the american family. All of that is the march to progress. And my friends, the one organization, the one institution that protects it is the supreme court of the united states

Ahem..pardon me for interrupting...but "The 1973 Act to say that women are going to be treated equally"..... everywhere except the Owl Club that you have been a member of for many years... ah.. right Senator?

OK...back to the transcript...

KENNEDY: Finally, i just say, mr. President, if you are concerned and you want a justice that is going to stand for the working men and women in this country, it’s not going to be judge alito. If you are concerned about women’s privacy rights, about the opportunity for women to gain fair employment in america, it’s not judge alito. If you care about the disabled, the rehabilitation act that we passed, the “idea” act to include children in our schools that we passed, that’s been on the books for 25 years, the disability act that we have passed to bring all of the disabled into our society, if you are looking for someone that is going to be a friend of the disabled, it’s not going to be judge alito. And finally, if you are looking for someone that is going to be willing to stand up to the executive branch of government at a time that he is going to exceed his power and authority and the law of this country, it is not going to be judge alito

I'm sorry.... am I making fun of Teddy again..... oops.

Moonbat.

I was hoping that he would at least stroke out. What a bullshit artist. Moral outrage requires a knowledge of right and wrong from an amoral murderer, and he ain't got a clue.

We might have to cut the poor sot some slack. I read somewhere he might be suffering from mad cow disease.

I still want to buy a ticket to the scene when his big ol' head explodes. The Turdlapper.

I've definitely been put off by the antics of the far left ever since the Kerry campaign began, and I'm no fan of Sen. Kennedy, but I watched this video and all I see is someone who is passionate about what he believes in and articulated it very well without a script.

Stepping aside from disagree or agree, all I saw was a passionate American making his case be heard and now, what ensues, ironically, is a flow of immature sarcasm from the conservatives who are always trying to appear so high and mighty.

Really, just take an account of yourself for pete's sake. Take Kennedy down on the issues, but to poke fun at a passionate expression of his Democratic right to free speech? C'mon...

Surely you've got more important things to do.
