Someone Explain Our Republican Majority Senate To Me...Pleeeease
OK... first there was ANWR....
Then there was The Patriot Act...
and now there's ANWR...again.
What the hell is going on? We voted a majority of Republicans in for a reason. Who are these pantywaists cowtowing to the Democrats?
Ya'll wake me up on '06, OK.
Lisa
Michelle has more.

it takes 60 votes to end cloture. solution? do away with the super-majority and go for a simple majority. but I really don't wish to see that happen, much as I despise the commie Demodawgs. personally, I like to see congress at loggerheads. fewer laws passed the better. now if we could just pass a law doing away with the Demodawg (Slavery) party...a dream I know, but one that is tantalizing.

It's called spinal deficiency syndrome.

We have a Republican majority because........oh hell, I don't even know anymore.

I thought cloture was what a wound did as it healed and formed a scab.
Republicans tend to suffer from cases of TLOB from time to time (Terminal Lack of BALLS) The spine also can be affected from time to time. Add to that that all of the weasels in congress are morally challenged at best, and you have a "leadership problem". If I had a platoon commander that was as indecisive and morally bankrupt as they were, I would plant a Claymore Mine under his rack and give him a jolting reality check.

OK USMC.. I'm putting it out there. You have offically made me pee in my pants while coffee came spewing out of my nose.
And NO...it was not a pretty sight.

It is this simple Reeps want to get reelected so they are voting with the Dems.
Posted by: HC | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 12:42 PM
HC..the American people spoke in 2000 and 2004 as to where they stand on issues. The way these few turncoats are voting is their one way ticket out of Washington.
Posted by: Lisa | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 12:48 PM
HC, Lisa speaks the truth. If the Reeps had been voting the Dem way, they would not now be in the majority. And it must have escaped your notice that the Dems who got beat got beat BECAUSE of their Dem positions on the issues.
Or were you making a funny?

Let me put this way; I cannot wait until the 2006 elections, because your overreaching, corrupt, and out of touch with the America people party is going to lose a ton of seats.
BTW I hear that Abramoff is going to plead guilty next week and take down as many as 30 reeps with him.
Your time is coming to an end so enjoy it while you can.
Posted by: HC | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 01:17 PM
Oh my HC...is that the Star Spangled Banner I hear in the background?
Posted by: Lisa | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 01:58 PM
Lisa; yes it is.
Posted by: HC | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 02:07 PM
Of course HC. I am sure you are right. A problem which will result from such a scenario is that if that happens, the Democrats have shown that they will get do their best to get us all KILLED.
What a bargain!
Posted by: USMC Steve | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 03:42 PM
And how many Democrats will go down with Abramoff too? Oh, we'll not hear too much about them, but they are there...scum like Abramoff don't really care too much who they ensnare...and the scum in the media won't print it because they are as partisan as HC here...

Matt any Democrat who broke the law with Abramoff should go to jail. You see that is the difference between the right and the left; we put country ahead of party.
Also, I do not know how a member of congress of either party will escape media coverage of the Abramoff scandal. Maybe if no democrats are exposed then maybe no democrats had dealings with Abramoff.
As I said your time to rule is coming to an end, enjoy it while you can.
Posted by: HC | Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 04:48 PM
"ruled"? Republicans don't "rule" HC, they provide leadership (sometimes) and administer to the country (sometimes). They are not communists like you HC and your masters HC who have to "rule" (think they are the only ones who can think for us). The more you write HC the more I am convinced that you are a young, college student who like most young college students is bereft of a working brain as of yet. Never held a real job yet. Sucking offa momma and papa's money teat. You're a twit boy. Plus you need to change your keyboard, I think some of your keys are beginning to stick. A joke you are..not a funny one, but nonetheless..

Jestie when you try to get all mean and stuff, I know I got to you. Thanks for letting me know. Any way I wish you a Merry Christmas.
Posted by: HC | Friday, December 23, 2005 at 12:05 PM
HC, you be a funny man. Democrats are the party which believes the "little man" is too stupid to take care of himself, and needs to be guided and taken care of by the Dems. They are the ones who speak of "ruling" the country, not the Republicans. Republicans go with representative government, not rule. That is for the morally superior dems to do. Kind of like in a fascist dictatorship.
You can't be talking like you did about any democrat going to jail if they are a criminal either. The dems will kick you out of the party for being an individual. They don't sacrifice the criminals in their party, they glorify them and seek to justify their actions. Like when Kennedy murdered Kopechny as an example.
Dems cannot do any wrong, but they ARE just wrong, period.
