I bet that snake would have killed for some Pepto-Bismol (or would that be Repto-Bismol?)

This exotic animal issue is becoming a big problem here in Florida (world-wide really). We have these irresponsible pet owners who are letting their animals loose for whatever reason. This picture is a great example of the consequences. It was once thought that the gators will keep the pythons in check…but this isn’t the case. Actually what I see happening is that the pythons will be eating baby and juvenile gators like they’re appetizers, and this might severely impact the gator population. The State and Feds are spending over $8 billion to restore the everglades and gators are one of the keystone species. Without them, there is no everglades. I know that some folks couldn’t care less about the everglades, or the environment in general, but these irresponsible pet owners, through their carelessness and ignorance, could seriously impact what is a big economic engine here in South Florida.
Here’s a story about another large reptile (nile monitor lizard) that’s causing problems on Florida’s west coast:

I guess the python's eyes were bigger than its stomach.
The snake should remember to masticate before it blow-viates.
Jack.
