...or at least under surveillence. The father of Mohamed Atta tells CNN that he supports the suicide bombings.
In an interview on Tuesday, Mohamed el-Amir, Atta's father, said he would like to see more bombings like the ones in London. He indicated that the 9/11 and London attacks were just the beginning of a 50 year holy war. He also
"...declared that terror cells around the world were a 'nuclear bomb that has now been activated and is ticking.'"
and went on to vow
"that he would do anything within his power to encourage more attacks."
When asked if he would do another interview, El-Amir agreed only if CNN would pay him $5,000.
"That money, he said, would not be kept for himself, but would be donated to someone to carry out another terror attack.
El-Amir said that $5,000 was about how much it would cost to finance another attack in London."
Now will someone explain to me why this man is not incarcerated or at least under surveillance. According the the security guard of the building in which he lives, El-Amir was being watched for a few months after the 9/11 attacks but no longer.
This man has publicly declared his support for terrorism. He has declared his financial support for terrorist attacks and knows enough about them to know the current average cost of planning and carrying out a suicide bombing. He's certainly getting that kind of information from somewhere and flaunting it courtesy of CNN.
The Egyptian government was quick to cooperate with the British government in arresting the chemistry student suspected of coordinating the London bombings. Maybe they should bring El-Amir in for questioning or at least place this 70 year old lawyer under surveillance to see just who some of his "consulting" clients are.

It will be interesting to see what the Egyptions do -- my suggestion -- not another damn dime in aid till they arrest his a*ss and put panties on his head,
better yet, ship his butt over here or London.
