tell chuck that i am glad that he is okay. My sister, PFC. Michelle E. Pfister, had an incident with an IED on April 22. It killed her best friend and messed her up quite a bit. So i am glad to hear that chuck is doing okay. I will pray for a speedy recovery. God bless.

I'm not sure what will happen to the mail that goes to his APO address now that he is back in the States, but I purchased one of the books he had on his Amazon wish list for his XO Cpt. Spencer. It isn't much, but I wanted to do something for the man. God Bless.

thank you Lisa!
Dear Chuck,
i've been keeping up with what's going on with you since your AMAZING wife let us know what happened. and i've been praying for you and your family.
keep up the positive attitude and your inimitable sense of humour. don't give your docs any guff, and be SUPER nice to your nurses...they're angels on earth! :) work HARD in therapy, you'll go far.
i'm digitally challenged myself, and i've been thinking hard about you...but your attitude and amazing family will get you through everything. but you knew that already, Captain.
i just want to hug you both, but virtual's what we're stuck with. will continue to pray for your speedy and complete return to health... if i can do *anything* just ask.
fondly,
alix
PS, i did say AMAZING wife, right? now give her another kiss :)

Thanks for the updates and for doing this ladies!
Chuck:
Glad to see you made it back to the states. You will be in all of our thoughts, and we hope you have a quick recovery. You are in good hands out there. I mean, don't think I won't miss your updates and all... but hey, I think this is a good excuse to take a few days off from the blog. :)
And you have an AMAZING wife pulling you through. My husband is also in Iraq, and he has been through a few IED attacks, so far managing to come through unscathed. I can only hope that if I ever do get a call that something has happened I will handle it with half the poise that she has. She truly has impressed me.
Hang in there guys, and remember that you have a whole crowd of people here for you.

Tell Chuck I said "Hi" and that if he and the family need anything, we (thousands of us) can help. We'll continue to think and pray for him, his family, and his soldiers.

My thoughts have been with Chuck and his family, and also those of his company in Iraq. I wish for your full recovery, and want to thank you for your service to this country. God Bless and best wishes in the future. And please let your company back in Iraq know that we stand by them rock solid.

Dear Chuck,
Although none of what you are going through makes any sense and you have suffered so, once things calm down and you get to see what has happened all around you, you will be amazed at the amount of love and genuine concern that now surrounds your life. If you had a moment of doubt about the value of your service for this country, please read the comments section of your dear wife, Carren's, posts. I have never seen anything like it.
May each day forward be easier on you than the one before and I look forward to the day we read that you are back home with your entire family.

Hi Chuck and Carren
I can't be in DC to visit or take Carren out for lunch or anything... but when you hit a low spot - just know there are thousands of us out here pulling for you!
As Blackfive says - if you need something - blog it and we'll try our best to get it for you. We can't make Chuck better - but maybe we can make it easier.

Lisa, Thank-you for doing this and giving us a way to "Go there with you" -
Send the message of "HELLO " and "I LOVE YOU" to Chuck and his family. Hey, how does it feel to have all of us great, (if I do say so myself) and good, and patriotic and wonderful Americans behind you? ('Cause , I know for SURE there are millions of people out there who, if they knew of you, would feel, ((because they are just regular good people, the same as we are!!)) the same love for you that I do feel).
I will do , what I think you would want, which is to continue to support and just be a part of, the families in my own hometown area who have loved ones deployed, and now, all the while, thinking of you and doing this in your honor.
So many prayers going your way from Easthampton MA, that nothing but GOOD will happen now from this!!
THANK-YOU , seems to sound casual, but, says all that I can say.

Just happened upon this site and read some of the information.. I've heard of Chuck and his wife from other sites as well, and thought I'd take the time to humbly say, "Thank you.."
Seems like so little, really.. but I mean it with deepest sincerity. Our prayers are with you and your loved ones.. Thank you for being so strong..
